New world order: 7 things you must do now to survive and thrive in Trump’s America
Massive change is happening in the United States. Some might say it is a good thing and others would disagree. Sis, I’m not here to tell you what to believe. I’m not going to scare you either. That’s easy and that’s not who I am. I’m here to make you aware. I want you to get ready for the massive upheaval that is coming. Unlike other folks who want to scare the granny panties off you, I want you to not only survive but thrive. In no particular order, this post intends on showing you how:
First of all, get a passport! Why? We’ve seen Trump’s executive orders. Chile! We don’t know what will happen next. If things hit the fan or if good things happen, you’re prepared. Regardless, if you want to get away, get a passport so you can go overseas when you want. Even though our president is pretty unpopular overseas, unless you count Russia, the U.S. passport is still pretty powerful. I also want you to check out “9 Achingly Beautiful Places To Live For Dirt Cheap” and “11 incredible cities where living abroad is cheap” so if you need to bounce, you know how far our dollar will take us. For more information on obtaining a passport and the costs go to the U.S. Department of State: Bureau of Consular Affairs.
Save your money! With these new tariffs, especially on products from Mexico to build the wall, prices are going to go up. My heart cries at the thought of $5 avocados. My advice is to stack your chips. Don’t just prepare for a rainy day. Prepare for a tsunami because it’s coming.
Get a skill for a low price or even for free. Where do you start? First of all, check out the fastest growing jobs in the United States:

Next, go to your local Department of Labor or community college and check out the courses they offer. Some DOLs offer free programs because companies need skilled workers NOW. By the way, I learned how to use several software programs on YouTube. Try it! If you want to leave the U.S., some countries will only take workers with a hard skill or certain level of education. Here’s a list of overseas jobs on Monster.com.
Look, even if you want to stay in the States, make sure you get a skill that can’t be automated. Also, consider a career creating or repairing the machines. The truth is the U.S. workforce will change. Read, “Automation, jobs, and the future of work” and know what is coming. Yes, the machines are coming to take our jobs. Prepare now.
Learn another language! Not only is it more marketable to be multilingual, learning a new skill is fun. Where can you learn another language? YouTube of course. Guess what? It’s free! Since our president is friendly with Russia, you might want to learn Russian. Just kidding. If you are thinking about leaving the U.S., learning another language is important to get a job and live overseas.
Get on birth control. We all know children are expensive. It’s estimated to cost over $245,000 to raise one. OMG, my uterus hurts thinking about it. Having kids you can’t afford is an easy way to get in poverty. My advice is to avoid it and get on birth control. You can have all the sexy time you want and be safe. Here is a list of Planned Parenthoods in the United States.
By the way, if you have insurance, one of the benefits of Obamacare is that it offers free or low-cost contraceptives. Don’t forget that Obamacare’s open enrollment ends today. Sign up NOW!
Since there are executive orders banning people from entering the United States, you’ve got be naïve as heck not to see new anti-abortion and anticontraceptive laws coming. Trump is going to put an anti-abortion Justice on the Supreme Court. Be smart and prepare.
If you are gay and engaged, get married ASAP. Trump will have a conservative Supreme Court and states like Texas are already trying to change their marriage laws. Crazy but it’s happening. According to Fortune Magazine Texas is,
Reversing its previous ruling, the state’s highest civil court set arguments for March in a lawsuit seeking to halt same-sex spousal benefits that America’s fourth-largest city offers its municipal employees. The nine Republican justices had ruled in September not to hear the case in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling from the previous summer that gay marriage was constitutional nationwide.
But Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and state Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a subsequent brief saying that the case could serve as a platform to help Texas restrict the scope of the high court decision.
My fellow capitalists always see opportunities in tough circumstances. If you want to make money during this administration invest in the prison, defense, immigration, real estate and construction industries. P.S. Don’t forget their suppliers. Why should you? Well, we know Trump says he’ll be tough on crime. Trump’s policies might push us to war with China. He is targeting immigrant groups. He is a real estate guy and he’s going to build the wall. This is common sense. I LOVE it!!!!!!! Finally a blogger who is determined to turn this into a positive for black women! I have been telling black women to get their passports before Trump starts changing those laws and start hunting for safe havens outside the U.S.
As always your information is powerful, for the Black women who are in deny and choose to not listen. Oh well!!. I myself practice a policy of self first . All others including family members who ignored the warning signs cannot come to me for help. Attending a junior college pursing LVN career ladder, eventually leading to Nurse Practioner.
