Rapper Azealia Banks is smart, beautiful and incredibly aware. In this interview, she candidly discusses cultural appropriation and a passion for her art that is rarely expressed today. I cried when she cried. This interview made me appreciate her talent and intelligence even more.

I purchased her album and I will say it is very avant-garde. Broke With Expensive Taste [Explicit] ((Affiliate links))is an acquired taste. It is an expensive taste. Her album displayed the wide range of her talent from the opening track “Idle is Delilah” to the last track “Miss Camaraderie.” Did I mention Miss Banks can sing? It seems like the last time I purchased a hip-hop/rap album and enjoyed it from beginning to end was when the Jets won the Super Bowl and I wasn’t even born yet. Rap wasn’t created yet either. Broke With Expensive Taste [Explicit]broke that streak.

In the age of over processed prepackaged rappers her album is authentic, fun, fresh, rich, refreshing and creative. Check out Broke With Expensive Taste [Explicit]and her interview. Enjoy!

Azealia is speaking a lot of truth in this interview. I know it will piss off a lot of people though. But that’s what the truth does sometimes. She’s right about Iggy being involved in the hip hop world. Iggy is very overrated and overhyped! She is a talentless wannabe rapper. And I agree that T.I. is a sellout as well. His reality show is garbage! But I understand her point about whites trying to steal our culture. We create, they emulate. J. Cole has a new song called Firing Squad. His lyrics are on the mark:

“History repeats itself and that’s just how it goes
Same way that these rappers always bite each others flows
Same thing that my nigga Elvis did with Rock n Roll
Justin Timberlake, Eminem, and then Macklemore
While silly niggas argue over who gon’ snatch the crown
Look around, my nigga, white people have snatched the sound
This year I’ll prolly go to the awards dappered down
Watch Iggy win a Grammy as I try to crack a smile
I’m just playin’, but all good jokes contain true shit”
He is very on point! The same point that Azealia is making.

She stands her ground. I love that. He tried to say she’s being “difficult”, trying to label her and she said “No I’m being creative”. This!

Everything she said is true. You know she loves her people and shows it, unlike a lot of other artists who are fake….oh, and most who are fake tend to be these modern day black male rappers, who hate black women, call us dark butts, and hoes. The same fakes who  promote people like Iggy Azelia with her fake booty surgery, to make her butt and thighs look bigger. Those butt silicone to make her look more “urban, hip, down” or whatever…more shaped kike us. Don’t think I didn’t peep the butt implants Iggy. Shucks, these white people in America fool no one.

She’s saying everything black people have been saying for years. Only when a black woman who isn’t their “Perfect model citizen” is saying it, then people want to be mad about it.

You guys should have seen the brothas (and some sistas) defending Iggy calling Azealia jealous and bitter she has no career. The same black people who took their lily behinds to social media and protested about Macklemore winning the rap category at the Grammys last year I believe over Kendrick Lamar and other black artists. The even excused her racist stereotyping twitter rants she made before mainstream but sit and drag Nicki Minaj for that stupid hoe song forever.

Because racism is only relevant if it affects black men, and only “Da white mayne” is the enemy and white women are innocent poor little creatures. I hate the patriarchal black community.
