success

“While seeking revenge, dig two graves - one for yourself.” Douglas Horton

Have you ever heard the saying success is the best revenge? It sounds great and in the short-term it makes you feel better but I think this thinking is wrong.

When we focus on revenge we ignore what made us successful. We don’t appreciate the people we encountered and the process  we took on our journey.  The process includes the highs, the lows and everything else in between. Remember it’s not the result that shapes our character. It is the process.

“In taking revenge, a man is but even with his enemy; but in passing it over, he is superior.” Francis Bacon

I also believe when we focus on revenge we are willingly giving those who hurt us power over our lives. Power these people do not deserve.

Give yourself permission to live for you. Focus on your hopes, dreams, goals and aspirations. Don’t forget to enjoy the process.  If someone has hurt you let their issues be their burden. Take back your power. We only have one life. Live it.

The only limit you have is the one you have placed on yourself. Think and be limitless!
